Verdict

Trainer Michael Scudamore has his string in great shape at present and we'll take SILLY WUPPLE to come back freshened up with a win. The seven-year-old won this from a 7lbs lower mark last season, when the ground was soft. He followed up from a mark of 111 at Wetherby in November, and although that was also on good to soft he does act on a sound surface. Clearly not himself in the spring, he is taken to come back well with that stable form so good. Adare Prince looks to be in the grip of the assessor for the moment, while although Fred Bojangals has run well here in defeat, he has won only at Sedgefield and is 8lbs higher than the best of those two successes. Guns And Butter has trip and ground to suit and is back on a handy enough mark, but is not easy to win with in spite of making the frame on a regular basis. Etxalar will probably want softer ground and further before winning but Livingonaknifedge is back on a winning mark and can go well, although he would ideally want the rains to come. Sparkling Taff has not seen much of the racecourse in recent years but is not on a bad mark if fit, and he does act on a sound surface so check the market for clues. Silly Wupple can take this race for a second year.
