Verdict
Parky looks the pick of the two Charlton runners ahead of Sheriff Hall in this bumper but in a wide-open looking contest it is KINETIC ART that gets the vote. Richard Whittaker's gelding stepped up from his debut effort when a chasing home Shut The Bar at Catterick and a reproduction of that form in January may well be good enough to take this event. Tim Easterby's Ma's Bar, a daughter of Rock City, looks the most interesting of the newcomers over Peter Monteith's Pearshaped and he would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to take a hand in the finish. John Quinn's Gaelic Prince has been well held in both starts so far and of more interest may be Don McCain's Irish point-to-point winner Whiteabbey, who makes his rules debut. Pocket Guide ran creditably first time up and is another to consider but it is Kinetic Art that gets the vote.
