Verdict

Ifbutandwhy and Sparkling Tara are proving expensive to follow but Eyre Apparent won a small race at Perth in August, though is 11lb higher now. Saddle Pack won here and at Cartmel in the spring while Gavroche Gaugain is only 3lb higher than when successful at Sedgefield last autumn, though lacks consistency. TIPSY DARA was badly hampered when falling at the first at Perth on her final start of last season. She'd ploughed through the mud to win by seven lengths over 3m here on her previous start and a repeat of that effort would probably suffice today.
