In depth

Verdict

GIN COBBLER was a lucky winner at Southwell on Friday and has a penalty to carry. But you can't blame Victor Thompson for turning his charge out again quickly given this looks a modest handicap and his young rider can claim 7lb again. Civil Unrest will be warming up for a summer campaign but is a course and distance winner, as is Shine A Diamond. Molko Jack always seems to find at least one too good and Troubled's third at Carlisle was the first time he'd made the frame in nine attempts over fences. Pindar is hard to catch right and seems to have reverted to type again lately.
