In depth

Verdict

Nicky Richards has booked Brian Hughes to partner his winning pointer Glittering Love on his first try over fences under Rules but he’s up against a couple of recent winners in WELL ABOVE PAR and Calivigny. Lucinda Russell’s top weight was impressive over course and distance last week and still looks well treated under his penalty so gets the nod. It’s difficult to make a case for many of the others.
