          Verdict

          A competitive handicap to start proceedings at Hexham. Just Strong comes here after landing a weak handicap at Carlisle last time out and could be capable of running a big race despite a six pound rise. Mapleton comes into the equation if he can reproduce a second to The Butterwick Kid earlier in the season while any market confidence in Fassan (who looks very well treated on old form) would be highly interesting.
