Verdict
A poor contest gets proceedings underway but something has to win and the principals look to be All Rock Hard, Sweet Auburn and Big Star and the tentative vote goes to All Rock Hard. The selection was a fair fifth behind Some Judge over hurdles last time out, that form has since been franked. He is sure to have been well schooled for this his chasing debut and with conditions in his favour he will be hard to beat. Sweet Auburn rates the main danger on his best hurdles form and he was a fair fifth behind David's Lad last time out and with the booking of Tony Dobbin catching the eye he will be hard to beat. Big Star has shown a modicum of ability over fences to date and this is his easiest task to date but he remains a maiden and for that reason he is opposed. Of the remainder Native Persian is from a shrewd yard and is the least exposed in the field so he is worth noting but for the winner we return to All Rock Hard.
