Verdict
Both of SENIOR CITIZEN’s victories over fences have come on left-handed tracks but his last win at Newton Abbot has been franked and his experience will stand him in good stead against these, though has to concede 10lb. Espoir De Romay was a decent novice hurdler last season and has had wind surgery over the summer. The Vollan is probably capable of better than he’s shown so far but Old Rascals may need this.
