MENTALIST should be approaching peak fitness now after a couple of outings and Venetia Williams's six-year-old, only a pound higher than when winning at Southwell last March, is fancied to see off November's Uttoxeter third Ringa Bay, though the latter is now back on a winning mark. Strawberry Hill won a novices' handicap at Fontwell last time but has been raised 8lb since and the hot favourite that day failed to give his true running.
