Verdict

Lieutenant Miller won a novice event in August and was duly sent off favourite at Perth last time. He proved a big disappointment, however, so the consistent TESHALI makes more appeal. Never out of the first two in four starts since March, David Pipe's hurdler continues to improve and went very close in a better handicap than this at Stratford in July. Herschel hasn't won since this time last year, though he's back on a winning mark, and it's been even longer since Mohanad scored over timber. Royal Max won a handicap hurdle back in May but is hard to fancy on recent form.
