Verdict
Master Tern, World Vision and The Extra Man look the three to concentrate on in this handicap chase and we will take a chance with the last mentioned. The selection sustained an injury to a hind leg when last seen out towards the end of last season. However, he had won well prior to that at Exeter and providing he is fit enough to do himself justice on his seasonal bow, then he could represent some value in the race. Master Tern would have strong claims on the pick of his form but he is far from reliable and for that reason we are happy to take him on. World Vision is best on a fast surface and he was a little disappointing last time when well beaten behind subsequent winner Ross Comm. However, he had previously run well when second behind Stack The Pack at Perth and if that rival runs well in the previous race then that will give his form a boost. Fin Bec is not one to rely on but he is capable of going well at a big price if he is on a going day, although he has been off the track since January so will probably need the run. We are therefore happy to seek out a bit of value and return to The Extra Man as our idea of the winner.
