Verdict

HAARTH SOVERIGN is an improving sort and is given the vote to win again at the expense of Action Impact and Southampton. The selection was a smart handicapper on the level for Walter Swinburn and has run two fine races for his new connections this winter. He caught the eye after finishing second at Taunton on his hurdles debut and improved to win over course and distance last time out. Although he has a penalty to carry the same can be said about his nearest rivals and with more improvement to come he is sure to go close. Action Impact won at Plumpton on his penultimate outing but could only mange to finish fifth of ten while carrying a penalty last time out. He may fair better this around so warrants respect. Southampton has his first outing since coming over from Ireland. Ben Haslam has done well in his early training career and any market moves should be noted. Haarth Sovereign looks a nice prospect and is taken to land the odds.
