Verdict

El Presente beat an odds-on favourite in a maiden here last month, the pair pulling well clear. He has a penalty but sets a decent standard, though Cogburn came up against a decent novice at Warwick in May and Burning Heat has already been placed twice around here and went close on the Flat in the summer. Piton Pete will need to up his game, however. EQUUS SECRETUS changed hands for £30,000 after running away with a maiden at Dingley on his debut between the flags. He's by Brian Boru out of a Presenting mare so should have the pace for this.
