    Verdict

HIGHLAND RETREAT and Mickie are two nice chasing prospects. There wouldn't have been much between the pair over hurdles and the latter can only improve on her third behind a pair of useful stayers at Carlisle on her fencing bow. But we'll give Harry Fry's mare a final chance after she was beaten a neck by Return Spring at Exeter. She'd needed her first run at Cheltenham when starting a hot favourite. The remaining trio tackle fences for the first time and are probably best watched on this occasion.
