In depth

Verdict

In a race that lacks strength in depth, King Of Gothland gets the call over Ultimate Limit and Fullards. Having won over course and distance is one thing in the selection's favour, as is the fact that he ran well from his revised mark - which was a pound higher than today's - when running again over course and distance last time. He should go well. Ultimate Limit is the other course and distance runner in the line-up. He followed that success with a narrow defeat by Lord Anner, although he was disappointing at Leicester last time. However, he is respected, and so is Fullards, if he can run to the level of his course and distance run in February, although he is not the most consistent. Of the others, Florida Pearl's brother, Florida Sun, has not built on early promise, but Bell Lane Lad might make the frame. Overall, though, we are happy to side with King Of Gothland.
