In depth

Verdict

The penny finally dropped for SAMBELUCKY over fences at Newcastle last time. He's 10lb higher here and has an extra half-mile to cover but won off a similar mark over hurdles in December and may be up to the task. Brimham Boy can reverse last year's Warwick running with the disappointing Sawpit Supreme and is a previous C&D scorer off today's mark. He must be thereabouts and is preferred to Newton Tonic, who weakened quickly and was pulled up when favourite on his reappearance at Stratford. Winning hurdler Bagsy's Bridge finished tailed off on his chasing bow at Bangor and is best watched here.
