Verdict

Project Mars hasn’t done a lot wrong in his two starts this season but still looks a few pounds too high. Akkapenko was runner-up to an in-form mare at Ffos Las on his reappearance and is only 2lb higher having won twice around this time last year. Sweeping Rock has been knocking on the door but Givepeaceachance is now 0-15. PASSING SHADOW was behind Project Mars at Stratford but is 4lb better off and that run will have blown away any cobwebs. With Lily Pinchin riding with plenty of confidence at present and Graeme McPherson’s charge has more scope than the majority of his rivals.
