In depth

Verdict

After completing a double at a modest level at Plumpton. Our Phylli Vera shot up the weights and finished a long way last on her only subsequent start over hurdles. She's run twice on the Flat without showing much and is worth taking on. Hi Note won a Class 3 handicap at Fontwell last month and was impeded when making ground back there on Friday. However, her victory was over 2m6f and this looks on the short side. Roja Dove has suffered in the ratings for her participation in a Grade 3 at Down Royal where she finished runner-up but hasn't shown anything like that form in England. Goldie Horn won two sellers in June and that appears to be her level so the vote goes to FAVORITE GIRL (NAP). She was in top form around this time a year ago, landing a Leicester handicap at this level from just 2lb lower, and there couldn't be a more positive booking than Richard Johnson, who can steer her home.
