In depth

Verdict

SPANISH CRUISE looks unexposed enough to improve further in this sphere and has the call to land back to back victories ahead of Gunnadoit and Leo's Quest. The pick from Andrew Turnell's yard took one of these last time out and has only been penalised four pounds by the assessor. He kept on well that day so the extra furlong should suit and the form lines have been franked by both the second and fourth placed horses. Gunnadoit is a consistent sort who followed up an easy win over course and distance two starts back with a runner's up spot under this mark last time out. That said he was well beaten and the rating does look on the high side but he does handle fast going. Leo's Quest looks well treated on handicap debut and could well improve for this company. It will be interesting to see how he handles the expected quick conditions though. Molly's Garden was a winner of a Novice Handicap on her penultimate start but looks a little high in the weights so we opt for Spanish Cruise.
