Verdict

It's a little early to be giving up on FEATHERINTHEATTIC as the soft ground was probably to blame for him weakening quickly at Bangor in December following a break. This faster ground should be much more to his liking and he gets the vote to come good today. Lady Deddington showed promise in a Worcester bumper in September but hasn't raced since and a bigger danger is likely to be Kings Bayonet, who ran his best race so far when third to Duaiseoir at Plumpton last time. Kruzhlinin may be a better than he's shown so far but Willie Musson's pair Hurricane Hymnbook and Magicalmysterytour are probably best watched on debut and fellow newcomer Takhreej may also need the experience.
