In depth

Verdict

Boreham Bill has a penalty for his victory at Market Rasen in October after which he ran a cracking race in a Cheltenham Listed contest. He can't have been right in a similar event at Ascot in December and has been given a break. SOLOMON GREY made a very encouraging debut at Ludlow in December when runner-up to Top Ville Ben, who then completed a double over hurdles. Dan Skelton's charge is taken to go one better in a decent bumper for the course. Blazon was always in the firing line and stayed on strongly when making a successful start at Lingfield while Doux Pretender won a bumper in France in October and could be anything. Maria's Benefit dead-heated in a Dromahane point in November and ran well enough behind Dame Rose at Doncaster to suggest she'll find a race soon.
