Verdict

BEACHFIRE, a Listed winner on the Flat for John Gosden, got off the mark over hurdles at the second time of asking over 2m here in August when beating better-fancied stablemate New Year's Eve. The runner-up has won since and John Ferguson's charge sets a decent standard in this with the extra yardage not expected to pose a problem. Great Link has his first run for a new yard since arriving from France and is probably best watched but No No Charlie, representing a yard in cracking form, is worth a second look having chased home subsequent Grade 1 winner Taquin Du Seuil on his only start over timber so far. The latter's trainer, Jonjo O Neill, has point-to-point and bumper winner Oscar Fortune in the line-up here while Present View will surely pick up a race or two in the coming months on what he showed last year.
