In depth

Verdict

Perfect Myth has the best piece of form of those with experience of hurdling having placed at Fakenham in December though it would be no surprise to see the likes of Monjeni, Point Taken and Landsman finish a lot closer today. The latter has placed in one of four previous starts over timber and debuts for a new yard today while Heatstroke has joined Nicky Henderson since last seen on the Flat in 2017. But the latter has undergone wind surgery and sports a tongue-tie for his hurdling debut and a speculative vote goes to LOCK’S CORNER, who has also had a wind operation since winning a point-to-point last year and was subsequently purchased for £215,000 to race in the McManus colours.
