Verdict
Fast ground suits PALOS CONTI and he make the likely decent going count in his favour with Solway Minstrel and Gunnadoit the others to make the shortlist. Punters rowing in at short prices will evidently have a few concerns about the trip though it is worth considering that the validity of his third at Ayr was given a huge boost as his fellow dead-heater has gone on to run creditably since. Solway Minstrel represents a yard that are small though have had two recent winners. Although into teenage years, he acts on this surface and if fit enough following absence, has obvious claims on the formbook. Gunnadoit won at the equivalent meeting last year. He scarcely covered himself with glory earlier this week with a poor effort at Plumpton. Conington is still a maiden though has had fewer chances than most in this field. Ordelia has exhibited some evidence of handling extreme trips though her form is patchy at best. A contest where it is hard to be confident about many variables although with Palos Conti proven on the surface, he might just have enough class to make it count.
