Verdict
A visor may spark Chuquicamata back to life however a safer bet may be AMERICAN WORLD who is narrowly preferred to Kikos. So far Brendan Powell's gelding has failed to record a victory in ten career starts. However his recent third to Russian Flag at Plumpton rates as a fair piece of form in the context of this race and a step back up in trip is unlikely to work against him. Ortega shaped with much more promise last time out and is not to be ignored from just one pound out of the weights, whilst Kikos is another maiden but Rene Robeson's gelding is dropped 2lbs in the weights and this looks an easier race than the Leicester assignment last time. Top-weight General Ledge returns from a three month break, whilst Baskerville is unexposed over fences and although a mark of 115 looks tough, he cannot be discounted. A terrible race if truth be told but a winner lies somewhere and we side with American World.
