Verdict

Rustamabad is the obvious one on the formbook after a satisfactory debut at Southwell when runner-up to Magna Cartor. He'll improve but there do look to be some interesting newcomers here. Ballochmyle, a son of Milan, should be checked in the market on debut, likewise Buckenhill who represents a first runner under the NH code for David Simcock. However, John Ferguson has his string in great nick at present and has become a dab hand in races of this nature since taking up the training reins and his JOE FARRELL is a hopeful suggestion at this stage. Arthamint was beaten miles on both bumper starts so it will be interesting to see how he goes on his first run for Dan Skelton. He wouldn't be the first to benefit enormously from such a move on evidence to date.
