Verdict
With Bosham Mill in action on Wednesday, we turn to No Retreat as the answer, with Full Minty and Lucky Bay the other leading contenders. If Bosham Mill does run then obviously that puts a different light on matters, but in his absence we nominate No Retreat to step up on his second to Red Brook Lad at Wincanton recently. That was his first outing since finishing a creditable third in the Justitia Cup at Stratford in May, and although now in the twilight of his career, the former Desert Orchid Chase winner should give a good account. Full Minty was a fairly useful novice chaser for Nigel Twiston-Davies and lines up on the back of a win between the flags for Sarah Stafford, so should be in with a shout along with Lucky Bay who also has a recent point success to his credit. Maggies Brother has not been seen since winning a hunter chase at Folkestone last May so may give a good show before running out of steam, and that Wincanton run of No Retreat should give him the edge today.
