Verdict
HEADING TO FIRST looks the solid option having performed well on all three starts this term, notably when running out a decisive winner at Wincanton last time. A 7lb rise seems fair, Nico de Boinville is obviously a good booking and he has ground conditions in his favour. Mighty Mambo has definite claims at his best but followed up a Towcester success by pulling up at the same venue eight days later when last seen. Nevertheless, the booking of rising star Sean Bowen suggests connections mean business and he's respected. Celtic Artisan ran well on the Flat the last day and should have more to offer as a four-year-old against his elders, whilst Cherry Tiger showed enough last time to be of interest. Check out Amirli in the market as the French import has hitherto shown little for Donald McCain but now makes his handicap bow off an acceptable mark.
