Verdict

Nothing jumps off the page in an uninspiring contest but MUSICAL WEDGE has shown up well at Towcester the last twice and should stay three miles around this easier track. He has the potential to improve over fences and holds Pingaro De La Vire on Towcester running behind Ballyegan. There's was only just over a length between them that day but the selection is much better off at these weights and should confirm the form. Minella Bliss didn't do too badly behind Brackloon High on his chasing debut whilst the 'dark horse' is Somewhatinevitable. Paul Webber's charge has only shown bits and pieces of form over timber but looks much more of a chaser and this isn't the toughest of introductions to the larger obstacles.
