Verdict

London Prize was just touched off at Market Rasen under a penalty on Boxing Day having won at Leicester previously. Percy Street, who is also engaged at Taunton, is surely better than he showed when favourite at Newbury while this sharp track should suit Newbury fourth What About Carlo, who was a decent sort on the Flat. Midnight Maestro won at Warwick in November but did not run up to that form subsequently at Cheltenham. His yard also run SIR ANTONY BROWNE and there will be high hopes that the five-year-old can make his mark over hurdles as the Newbury bumper in which he finished third last March has already produced several winners over timber.
