In depth

Verdict

None of these have ever won here and Gin And Tonic has had plenty of attempts though he'd dropped to a lowly mark when runner-up at Plumpton. Chilli Romance gained the first victory of her career on her 19th attempt at Leicester in December and, though 8lb higher, would be an obvious contender if ready. ST GEORGE'S OVAL has yet to win but produced his best run for a very long time when just failing to make all at Market Rasen and a similar effort can see him finally off the mark. Chef De Troupe, three times a winner on the Flat in France, has been very disappointing over timber but the four-year-old Pepper Street has the scope to do better despite being well beaten at Warwick last time.
