Verdict
Winter Garden, Salvage and Workaway will all have their supporters here but we will take a chance on Conpadre. The selection from the Peter Beaumont yard showed a modicum of ability over hurdles, despite looking a short runner. However, he has schooled particularly well at home and will take all the beating. Winter Garden was a good second behind Midlam Melody last time. He goes on any ground and is very consistent but again he may find a couple that will have too much toe for him at the finish. Salvage is also worthy of respect as he was a fair fifth in a much better race than this at Ayr behind Family Venture last time. But he finds precious little off the bridle and is readily opposed. Workaway is an imposing gelding by Alflora and he had every chance until falling last time. If he gets around he will be a danger to all. But in an open affair, we will stick with Conpadre.
