Verdict

MAGGIO won this last year and may have been primed for another crack as his two victories have come on the track. He ran well for a long way at Hexham on Friday and should be spot on. Bright Abbey is a real threat having scored at Sedgefield on Tuesday though this looks tougher. Our Joey won two bumpers and ploughed through the mud to land a novice hurdler here in January so if the ground turned soft he would have to be considered. Indigo Gold also ran at Hexham on Friday where he wasn't beaten far in a novice event won by Billfromthebar.
