Verdict
Scots Grey, Mckelvey and Telemoss look the three to concentrate on in this handicap with the vote going to Mckelvey. The selection ran well at Ayr to finish second behind Finburn after unseating his rider at Aintree on his penultimate run. That gives him a live chance here and for that reason is given the nod. Now in the veteran stage of his career Telemoss has been running well this past season in Hunt races and did manage to win at Bangor before running a fine race in the Cheltenham Foxhunters. That may not be good enough form to win this race but he is worth noting in the market. Scots Grey ran a fine race behind Ballycassidy last time out at Perth over a similar trip and if repeating that will be a big danger to the selection. But more often of late he has proved disappointing and for that reason is treated with caution. But for the winner we return to Mckelvey.
