Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Thenford Sir ran well last time out and is fancied to go one better today; Beau Saddler and Heez A Steel make it to the shortlist. The selection ran well behind a decent sort at Hexham last June on his most recent run and should give a good account of himself today with the step back up in trip not expected to be a problem. Polly Whitefoot should come on for her recent run, whilst My Final Bid needs respect but comes back from a lengthy absence and may just improve for the run. Dantor was only narrowly beaten when last seen at Ayr and whilst he is yet to win in 15 starts, his turn may not be too far away. Beau Saddler is consistent and should be on the premises near the finish, however it is Thenford Sir who gets the vote in a rather ordinary opener.
