Verdict

BALLYPOREEN bolted up at Musselburgh two runs ago and won again here last month. The step back up in distance shouldn’t prevent a hat-trick for Donald McCain’s improver, even though he is giving 12lb and upwards to his rivals. Harper Valley was keeping on over 2m at Hexham so should be suited by the extra half-mile and will be hard to keep out of the frame again.
