In depth

Verdict

Vengeur De Guye won for only the second time over fences at Ayr but that was a lower-class event and he's up 3lb. Azert De Coeur has joined a new yard and looks high enough in the ratings as does Welcome Ben, who found a 4lb rise too much at Perth after completing a double. Full Shift never fulfilled expectations after winning at Kempton for Nicky Henderson two years ago while Tomorrow's Legend hasn't run since April of last year. CHAIN OF BEACONS was having his first start for Katie Scott when a decent third on his reappearance at Sedgefield and with that under his belt and Callum Beasley's claim to help he's taken to double his winning tally.
