Verdict

Richard Guest had a choice of entries for Why The Big Paws on this card and we back up his assumption that he has chosen right as this game mare bids for her third consecutive victory. Harrovian and Moon Mist are hard to split as the best of the rest, while Tarbolton Moss, although a very modest second on her reappearance at Hexham, has not been racing with her usual relish lately and now has a little to prove. Harrovian does not have many miles on the clock and is going the right way. She is due to go up 9lb at the weekend, so it is easy to see why her connections think she will cope with her penalty today. However, Why The Big Paws has also been leniently treated by the handicapper and, with the expectation of more to come, Guest's charge can hold the upper hand and deliver the good again today.
