Verdict

A large field goes to post for the first on the card but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Beaver, Lutea and Summer Special and the narrow vote is given to Lutea. The selection was a fair fourth behind Bonny Grey last time out, that form has since been franked and with this faster surface sure to suit this hard puller she is taken to score. Beaver rates the main danger as he has plenty of scope for improvement and was a fair third on his debut behind Redi. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and will not be far away. Summer Special is another worthy of respect on his latest third behind Napolitain but he gave the impression he would be suited by a longer trip on that occasion and for that reason he is opposed. Chef de Cour is another that could go well he was a fair sort in bumpers and is sure to have been well schooled for this his hurdling debut. Of the remainder Kings Protector has place claims on his best form but is far from consistent and for the winner we return to Lutea who has conditions to suit.
