Verdict
MARDOOD ran too poor to be true on his last start and is given another chance to go in ahead of Nelson Du Ronceray and Marssol. Chris Grant's son of Oasis Dream put in a laboured effort on his latest start when fancied to get the four timer completed. That was his first try over a staying trip and the drop to today's trip will help. Campbell Giles takes the ride and a better effort is expected. Nelson Du Ronceray will have to carry top weight but Ryan Mania will ease his burden by taking off three lbs. He has been applying his trade over fences lately and has been in ok from. The change to hurdles is due to the handicapper having him right over fences and he should show up better today. Marsool ran in a very competitive hurdles race two weeks ago but never got into the race. He's only a four year and possibly doesn't enjoy big fields. Only eight go to post today so an improved effort is expected. Benmadigan is another to note but Mardood gets the vote.
