In depth
Verdict
Another Promise can defy topweight at the expense of Tee-Jay, Renvyle and Finest Of Men, with Primitive Way added to the short-list. Another Promise was produced fit and ready to hump 11st 12lb to victory on his chase debut in a Hexham handicap chase three weeks ago, having been absent for 16-months. That was his debut for Ferdy Murphy, and although the seven-year-old in truth did not have much to beat, he did it easily, coming home unchallenged, and has to be supported to follow up. Tee-Jay will probably give him most to do based on his latest efforts including a pillar-to-post victory at Hexham the time before last. However, Graham Lee rode him when Micky Hammond's charge was beaten at Wetherby 10 days ago, and will know what he has to do to beat his main rival here. Renvyle has been pretty consistent in defeat and may be placed, while Finest Of Men has won over the course-and-distance in the past and is worth a mention, as is Primitive Way, although he nearing his sell-by date. Another Promise is at the other end of the spectrum and should be followed.
