In depth

Verdict

WINTER ALCHEMY won his fourth start over fences when successful here earlier in the month. He's been raised 7lb but can go in again considering today's distinctly modest opposition. Gleann Na Ndochais may prove the biggest threat on his earlier second at Carlisle given he came up against much better rivals last time and recent point-to-point winner Monogram has the past form to figure. Blue Kascade failed to get involved on his chasing bow but his form over hurdles is superior to most of these while Discoverie has place claims on his return to action.
