In depth

Verdict

GRONKOWSKI (NAP) landed the odds with an easy win at Newcastle last time. This is much tougher but the Irish 2000 Guineas entry is progressing well and Jeremy Noseda’s yard is in fine form. Fortune's Pearl returns to action after finishing fifth in a Group 3 at Newmarket in September and is weighted to go close while Ventura Knight won a handicap at Doncaster back in October. Three Weeks continued his improvement when defying a penalty in novice company at Newcastle but Morning Has Broken’s winning run came to end in a handicap here last time. Jellmood has gone close in handicaps recently and is preferred to novice winner Bobby Biscuit.
