Verdict
CARNIVORE should have the beating of Ravi River and Landucci. The selection is closely matched with his main rival at the weights but we fancy him to come out on top. The main concern is that he hasn't shone in two starts at this track but there's plenty to like about his recent efforts including his defeat of a bang-in form rival on his latest start. Ravi River has been in really good form for his new yard and his latest run is probably best ignored as he ran too freely in a more competitive race. He was a ready winner over course and distance on his penultimate start and should go close. Landucci has been tried in a variety of headgear in an attempt to persuade him to put his head in front again; cheekpieces are exchanged for blinkers this evening and he's got the ability to take a hand if he's on a going day. Rubenstar is not out of it but was due to run on Tuesday whilst Rydal is up against it on these terms; two stand out with Carnivore the pick.
