Bandinelli hasn’t won since landing this contest off a lower mark last year while Sleeping Lion won this in 2021 but finished behind fourth-placed Aced It in February. The latter was subsequently beaten by AZTEC EMPIRE over course and distance and Andrew Balding’s charge looks the one to beat with more to come over today’s distance. Duty Of Care is upped in class bidding for a hat-trick of course and distance wins and is preferred to Bascule of the remaining pair.
