      Verdict

      BASILICATA has the form in the book with a promising debut effort at Goodwood. Beaten only a short-head on that occasion, she should have the measure of Tribute To Jade and Sarsaparilla. The latter steps up in trip today and the other Godolphin runner Gold Wing is preferred as she’s a half-sister to no less than seven winners. Alagappa is also related to several winners but Iconic Queen is a half-sister to Group 1 winner Arabian Queen among others and makes most appeal of the newcomers.
