      Verdict

      Ebbisham, a winner at Bath in April, hasn't been seen since running poorly when favourite on fast ground at Lingfield in July. He's probably capable of better as is CAPTAIN COURAGEOUS, who has been staying on well in his two recent starts in maidens, the latest over 7f at Chelmsford. He's taken to get off the mark on his handicap debut as Candesta is well exposed and 6lb higher for his victory here last month, his highest mark for two years. Freddy With A Y has dropped 16lb in the ratings in the past year without showing any sign of taking advantage.
