Verdict

Marching Army was having just his sixth start when beating March Law in a qualifier for this. The runner-up hung left and impeded the winner slightly so the positions should be confirmed. PISTOLETTO has to be brought wide and late, as he was at Chelmsford in September and in a qualifier for this later that month. Darragh Keenan knows him well so John Ryan's charge can overcome a 4lb rise. United Front won a Class 2 handicap at Chelmsford in April though hasn't been as effective on Turf since reappearing but Protected Guest has been running better than form figures suggest at a higher level and is 1lb lower than his last winning mark.
