Verdict

Smith completed a hat-trick over today’s trip at Lingfield with last month’s success though only prevailed by a nose and is 2lb higher. Prince Abu is penalised 5lb for winning at Southwell but THIS ONES FOR FRED can race off the same mark as when beaten a head over course and distance last time so Alan King’s charge may edge a tight contest. The unexposed Mardoof steps up in distance while Abel Tasman is also upped in trip representing last year’s winning yard.
