Verdict
A wide-open handicap but the percentage call is to go with a race-fit, progressive four-year-old and LOVERS CAUSEWAY fits the bill. He won his fifth race on the Polytrack when scoring over 1m4f here in January and only found Scamperdale too good at Lingfield last time. Today's rival King Olav finished behind the selection on that occasion and has since boosted the form with a victory at this track, while Round Won is going the right way judged on his latest second in a conditions race here. Goodwood winner Lunar Victory makes his reappearance and the betting will give a good indication of what's expected from John Gosden's charge and the same comment applies to Plymouth Rock, who showed good progress last year without getting his head in front. Greylami won this in 2009 but is 9lb higher today and Cosmic Sun has a bit to prove in this grade.
